Pearland Animal Cancer and Referral Center is excited to expand our services to Small Animal Internal Medicine! We are seeking a motivated, talented, experienced individual who is excited about growing the practice and expanding their own skills and knowledge base. The new team member will have the opportunity to develop the Internal Medicine Service and work alongside Oncology, Surgery, and Emergency veterinarians.  You will be given the chance to obtain the equipment of your choosing and to actively participate in setting the ground for how specialty care is provided in the future. 

Uniquely, Pearland Animal Cancer and Referral Center is the first and only specialty referral hospital in the Houston area dedicated to patients and clients with cancer! We are a young, rapidly growing practice, and in 18 months we have exceeded expectations in providing excellence in patient care and referral services to clients and veterinarians in the Greater Houston area.   As a result, we are answering the demand for Small Animal Internal Medicine as part of our expertise. We have a detail-oriented group of fun-loving technicians that excel in client communication, patient care, and empathy and are supported by an experienced Emergency team that operates after hours and on weekends.

The Veterinary Technician Assistant will work closely with the Veterinary Oncology Technicians in providing compassionate patient care and excellent communication to clients. Ideally, the candidate will complement the team with a strong initiative, communication skills and interest in learning. Where these are present, training is available.

We are seeking a motivated, talented, experienced individual who is excited about growing the practice and growing their own skills and knowledge base.

The position is full time. Infrequent weekends.

The Speciality Veterinary Technician will be an asset to our existing team and will continue to assist in developing a team of skilled, knowledgable technicians and in setting the ground for future growth of the care provided.

Experience in a specialty setting and in oncology, surgery, medicine, anesthesia or critical care is preferred but where skills in venipuncture, drug calculations and the drive to be detail-oriented are present, training is available.

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate empathy as well as manage difficult scenarios.
